| The most common complaint with
conventional denture wearers is the inability to eat and enjoy
certain foods, ie fresh fruit and vegetables, also the inability
to chew properly can affect digestion.
Partial dentures are often stabilised with clasps that "hook"
onto adjacent teeth. Over time the increased pressure on these
teeth can compromise them. In addition partial dentures retain
more plaque thereby adversely affecting the gum support of the
remaining teeth.
Conventional bridges rely on the adjacent teeth being "ground
down" to support the bridge so in effect you could be compromising
two or more healthy teeth to replace one missing one.
Implants can help eliminate the above problems. |
